What more demand for meat means for the future

A consequence of economic development in emerging countries is an increase of the consumption of animal protein. The article shows the dramatic effect that future predicted demand will have on production volumes, in particular in China. The shift in diet will require a strong increase of agricultural commodities to meet the future need for animal feed raw materials. The challenge is quite serious for producers from a volume perspective as well as from a sustainability point of view.
